Tether announced a strategic partnership with Line Next to bring its stablecoin USDT onto Line’s Kaia blockchain. With this integration, 196 million Line users can send and receive USDT directly in Line’s Mini DApp universe. By taking advantage of a well-known platform, Tether aims to drive stablecoin usage throughout Asia.
Making It More Accessible to Users In Line Ecosystem
The integration streamlines payments, cross-border remittances, and DeFi activities. Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, stated that the launch responds to the growing demand for stablecoins accessible to consumers in tech-driven Asian economies. Moreover, consumers can earn rewards in USDT on mission-based activities and pass on peer-to-peer transactions via the app.
Enhancing Compliance and Security
Apart from maximising user availability, Tether is also broadening compliance. Tether partnered with Chainalysis to embed improved monitoring features into its Hadron platform.
This agreement aims to strengthen risk management and compliance as a way of maximising institutional user trust. Tether’s CEO indicated that such action resonates with heightened regulatory scrutiny across the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
Tether’s AI Initiatives
Tether is also working to introduce Tether AI, an open platform where AI services can be combined with cryptocurrency payments. This platform will provide users with a censorship-free AI experience, ensuring greater freedom and flexibility.
