CZ was imprisoned after admitting to breaking US federal law back in November 2023. The Allegations were related to not having proper anti-money laundering programs and implementing illicit and unlawful activities through multiple transactions. Furthermore CZ’s company Binance was hit with a huge fine of $4.3 Billion dollars and CZ had to leave his position as the CEO of Binance and pay $50 million dollars.
