urrently, Ethereum creator, the talented Vitalik Buterin, has introduced the latest phase in the Ethereum evolution referred to as “The Verge,” which will render blockchain verification feasible on tiny gadgets such as smartwatches. This highlights  a monumental advancement in the sphere of blockchain.

The integration of revolutionary technology

The new roadmap combines two major technological innovations: customers without a defined state and SNARKs (Succinct Non-interactive Arguments of Knowledge). These advancements are to bring down the hardware costs for network participation to a significant level lower than today’s 1TB storage needed to run a full node.

Democratizing Network Access

Such stateless clients are a big step forward, taking only a few gigabytes of storage space to become full validating nodes. This development when used together with the SNARK technology allows users to confirm transaction without having to download the whole blockchain hence bringing the participation of the network closer to the average citizen.

Advancing Ethereum's Vision

It follows other successful upgrades such as the Merge and Surge, which already enhanced Ethereum’s capabilities to support 100,000 TPS. This latest phase is about decentralization and access. Furthermore another milestone on the road to making Ethereum a global decentralization platform.
