Public firms invested a whopping sum in Bitcoins, totaling over 1.02 million BTC up to September 30, 2025, worth approximately $117 billion. The growth indicates higher institutional confidence and a tactical change in how firms hold their finances.
Corporate Bitcoin Holdings Rise
According to Bitcoin Treasuries data, public companies holding Bitcoin have grown nearly 40% in the third quarter of 2025.

A total of 172 companies have embraced this digital currency and hold notable amounts collectively. The growth reflects the rising position of Bitcoin as a long-term reserve asset among companies.
Factors Driving Accumulation
Multiple drivers are responsible for this rise in business Bitcoin assets. The right regulatory environment, coupled with the trend towards long-term investment practices, has invited companies to invest more capital into cryptocurrencies. Bitget CEO Gracy Chen stressed that the majority of companies now look at Bitcoin not only as an inflation hedge but also as a key part of their treasury strategy.
During Q3, public companies accumulated more than 193,000 BTC, a 20.68% increase from the previous quarter. This was also bullish and saw the other categories like private companies and exchange-traded funds record 2.21% and 6.7% respective increases.
Market Implications and Future Outlook
The significance of the trend is enormous. Bitcoin dominated last week’s inflows at $2.67 billion and overall digital asset investment product has topped $48.7 billion year-to-date, CoinShares stated.

Research Head at Presto Research Peter Chung further added that corporate treasuries are increasingly investing in crypto assets, frequently financed by public market security issuance.
Analysts believe that sustained ETF inflows and broad adoption of Bitcoin in company balance sheets may take its price to $160,000 in the next quarter. It is however, a clear indicator of a one-sided institutional bet on digital currencies, with Bitcoin becoming an integral part of contemporary financial planning.
As institutional appetite for Bitcoin increases, listed companies are reconfiguring their finance model. It is not only a sign that confidence in cryptocurrency is growing but also foretells a possible revolution in the adoption of digital assets into corporate finances.
